On Monday, May 8, 2023, Town Council held their Regular Meeting.

7.1: Council resolved to adopt the Town of Kindersley Operating and Capital Budget for the Year of 2023.

7.2: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to set the 2023 Municipal Property Tax Mill Rate at 10.8 mills.

7.3: Town Council resolved that in relation to the application SUBD-001437-2023 for a proposed subdivision located in the Town of Kindersley at SW 1/4 Section 16-29-23-W3M and the Community Planning District of the Government of Saskatchewan’s request that the Council of the Town of Kindersley comment on the application;
that the Council is not aware of an facilities, land or site conditions that would be incompatible with the intended use of the proposed application;
that the Council facilities affected by the proposed development would include the underground water and sewer infrastructure and road systems in this area and the Town of Kindersley Sanitary Lift Station located within these lands;
and the intended use for this land listed on the application must comply with the Zoning Bylaw 02-22 for Highway Commercial (C3) land use;
and the Council does require the applicant to provide municipal reserve land in the amount of 0.3035 hectares as a payment in lieu of;
and the Council does not require the applicant to enter into a servicing agreement as lands affected by the subdivision will require water and sewer servicing and any upgrade to road systems for access to these lands shall be borne by the developer.

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $390,857.86.

9.1: Three readings of Bylaw 02-23 Being a Bylaw to Establish Mill Rate Factors were approved by Council.

10.1: Mayor Rod Perkins designated the week of May 21-27, 2023 as National Public Works Week in the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages all residents to join in activities, events, and ceremonies designated to pay tribute to our public works professionals, engineers, managers, and employees and to recognize the substantial contributions they make to protecting our national health, safety, and quality of life.

10.2: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed the week of May 8 to 12, 2023 as Economic Development week in the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages residents to shop local.

10.3: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed the week of May 14 to 20, 2023 as Canadian Royal Purple Week in the Town of Kindersley. Council recognizes Canadian Royal Purple for the significant impact it has made and continues to make in our country.

11.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which included the following item for acceptance and filing:
