Kindersley, Saskatchewan
Kindersley is a thriving community located in the heart of west central Saskatchewan. The hub of a booming region, Kindersley remains as vibrant and progressive today as when the first settlers appeared more than 100 years ago. Kindersley boasts a strong economy, exceptional quality of life, and a business and service sector that rivals urban centres more than twice its size.
Founded in 1909, and incorporated as a Town one year later, Kindersley is named after Lord Kindersley, an English Lord who was an important stockholder in the Canadian Northern Railway. It has been a major trading centre within the region since its establishment.
Kindersley is located along Highway 7, one of the top five most traveled highways in Saskatchewan, and a major east-west corridor linking Calgary and Saskatoon. Agriculture, oil and gas are the main industries, while retail and other business services cater to a surrounding population of more than 28,000 residents. Kindersley’s small-town atmosphere, ample employment opportunities, and community vitality make it a great location for people of any age to live, work and raise a family.
