Town of Kindersley Community Grant Program

Annually, Kindersley Town Council will award a maximum grant of $750 for up to 20 community organizations to facilitate projects that develop, expand, and improve important programs and services for the residents of Kindersley and surrounding area. Funding will be awarded during two distribution periods and is subject to budget approval by Town Council.

Projects Must:

  1. Be conducted within the Town of Kindersley, and resulting goods or services must remain within the municipal boundaries upon completion.
  2. Benefit or have a positive impact on a key sector or demographic within Kindersley, or the community at large.

Eligible Applicants:

Any not-for-profit or community-based group/organization currently active within the Town of Kindersley municipal boundary.

*Organizations providing sport, recreation, and cultural services within the Town of Kindersley should apply to the Kindersley Community Initiative Program (KCIP) before applying to the Community Grant. KCIP is funded by Saskatchewan Lotteries.

Deadline for applications:

April 1st or September 30th (if either date falls on a weekend, the deadline is extended to the next business day) . Any applications received after the deadline will be held for consideration until the next deadline date.

Kindersley Community Initiative Program (KCIP)

This funding is designed for local non-profit organizations with needs to develop, expand and improve opportunities for participation in recreation, culture and sport through various projects.

Application Deadline: May 1 at 12pm (noon) (if the date falls on a weekend, the deadline is extended to the next business day). Late applications will not be accepted.

Deadline for applications:

The grant period runs April 1, 2022 – March 31, 2024. All approved grant applications will be required to fill out the follow-up forms. Be sure you submit both forms before the deadline date.

Kidsport

KidSport is a Children’s Charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs. The KidSport goal is to provide these children with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of teamwork, dedication, and responsibility through participation in sport.

Creative Kids

Creative Kids is a program that helps reduce financial barriers for Saskatchewan kids age 19 years or younger who want to participate in artistic, creative or cultural activities. Applicants are eligible for up to $750 per calendar year.

Field of Opportunities

The Field of Opportunities (FOO) initiative is designed to help improve quality of life in the rural and urban community of Kindersley and region by raising capital to be used for community projects centering on arts, culture, and recreation.

Community Initiatives Fund

The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) of Saskatchewan supports community projects that enhance the quality of life for children, youth, and adults of all ages. Projects may involve early childhood development, youth programming, volunteer leadership, physical activity, Aboriginal inclusion, and community celebrations. Please refer to the guidelines before applying.

CIF Community Grant Program: Community grants that enhance the health and well-being of Saskatchewan’s children, youth, and families.

Annual Deadlines: April 1 & October 1.

Summer Grant

Summer Grant: Support activities for children and youth that occur between May 1 & August 31. The types of projects typically supported include summer camps and day programming during the summer months that offer positive recreation, arts, culture and learning opportunities.

Annual Deadline: February 1.
