Just a friendly heads up that on Friday, March 29, 2024 (Good Friday), the Western Regional Landfill will be CLOSED for the statutory holiday! They will resume regular hours on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Kindersley RCMP Arrest Two in Relation to Theft from a Local Business 2024-03-27 Kindersley RCMP dealt with a theft of a vehicle from a local car dealership during the week of March 11th. Through follow up the vehicle was able to be tracked down and recovered in Calgary. Last night a Town of Kindersley truck was stolen. It is a white F-150 with a town decal and the license plate 480 FFM. The truck has a fuel slip tank in the back as well. Have you seen it? Contact the RCMP or our office!

It seems spring may finally be upon us! Please be aware that our Public Works team is out steaming culverts and catch basins. Due to the freezing and thawing temperatures, it may take multiple efforts to get drainage moving in some areas. Please watch out for our team and SLOW down or take an alternative route if you see them working in the streets.

After reporting on break and enters from last week the Kindersley RCMP had a further series of break ins that occurred. Two more businesses and the Legion were broken into as well as two oil sites outside of Kindersley. The Kindersley RCMP continue to investigate and are again requesting that anyone who may have information or video surveillance that may assist the investigation to reach out to the Kindersley Detachment or contact Crime Stoppers. Kindersley RCMP Investigate Suspicious Fire 2024-02-06 During the early morning hours of February 3rd Kindersley RCMP were called to assist the Kindersley Fire Department in the 100 block of 5th Street West. Once on scene the RCMP and the Kindersley Fire Department located a telephone pole that appeared to be set on fire intentionally. Today (Wednesday, January 31, 2024), we will be having a controlled burn West of Highway 21 at the Old Landfill site. Please keep in mind the timeline could change due to weather and wind. Don’t be alarmed if you see smoke or flames. We have all of the appropriate burn permits we need to have. We are just burning more sticks, logs, branches, prunings from trees, etc.
