1. Tomasin Playford, SaskCulture Outreach Consultant, on funding and resources for cultural initiatives.
2. Peace Akintade-Oluwagbeye, Poet Laureate for the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, who will share her poetry and insights on the Guild’s work.
3. Hugh Henry, Saskatchewan History and Folklore Society, showcasing provincial history through a special slideshow.
4. Alana Gunsch, Notice Nature Program, encouraging outdoor exploration through interactive educational tools.
5. Desarie Monroe, Wheatland Regional Library, on resources beyond books, including community programs and digital resources.
6. Miguel Fenrich, Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCOS), discussing their initiatives and how you can get involved.
And that’s not all! We’re excited to announce a Metis Jigging Workshop led by Maxine Desjarlais from Lloydminster. This will be a lively, hands-on opportunity to learn and experience traditional dance!
Additionally, Rivers West staff will share details about last year’s barn quilt painting project, funded by New Horizons for Seniors, which brought communities together through art.
