Today Councillor Warren Schafer attended the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Opening and came back to ring some bells during the afternoon! The Christmas Kettle donations stay with local families in need. The funds go towards local families in crisis, programming such as music and Bible camps for children, as well as purchasing ham and turkey for the Christmas Food Hampers. Holiday Smile Cookie Day Two Head down and grab some cookies to support Kindersley Early Years Family Resource Centre!

At the request of residents and with the help of a volunteer group in town, we are working through a few challenges with this idea including program policy, coordination, volunteers, personal information sensitivity, and cultural sensitivity. We hope to have a Welcome Committee in the coming months ready to help our new residents get comfortable!
