Council Highlights – November 10, 2025 Regular Meeting

On Monday, November 10, 2025, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.

8.1: Council confirmed the municipality meets the following eligibility requirements to receive the Municipal Revenue Sharing Grant:

  • Submission of the 2024 Audited Financial Statement to the Ministry of Government Relations;
  • Submission of the 2024 Public Reporting on Municipal Waterworks to the Ministry of Government Relations;
  • In Good Standing with respect to the reporting and remittance of Education Property Taxes;
  • Adoption of a Council Procedures Bylaw;
  • Adoption of an Employee Code of Conduct;
  • All members of Council have filed and annually updated their Public Disclosure Statements, as required; and

Council authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to sign the Declaration of Eligibility and submit it to the Ministry of Government Relations.

8.2: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into an Airport Lease Agreement with Tarrickfic Aerial for the term of 5 years from November 1st, 2025 to October 31st, 2030.

8.3: Each year Tim Hortons asks Council to assist volunteers from local charities to help decorate cookies for Spring and Holiday Smile Cookie Weeks. This year, for Holiday Smile Cookie Week, the Heritage Manor was chosen to receive the funds raised. The funding will go towards giving the residents the extras they deserve to feel comfortable and at home.

9.1: Town Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $860,419.98.

Council Highlights – October 27, 2025 Regular Meeting

On Monday, October 27, 2025, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.

7.1: Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Marty Baroni presented the Financial Report.

7.2: Council approved the Discretionary Use Application (25-04) for Discretionary Use at the residence of 30 – 6th Street Crescent on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Business pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of Zoning Bylaw 02-22 and that the Applicant obtains a Business License from the Town prior to operation, and every year of operation. If any of these conditions outlined above are not met with this proposed Home-Based Business, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.

7.3: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to accept as permitted the List of Lands with Arrears of Taxes as of October 2025; and that any property on the List of Lands with Arrears of Taxes as of October 2025 with an amount owing of less than half of the immediately preceding year’s tax levy be omitted from said list before further proceeding.

7.4: Town Council resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into an Ice Rental Agreement with Elizabeth Middle School and Kindersley Composite School.

7.5: Council acknowledged and approved that the submission for the Canada Community Building Fund is for the Crossing Warning System to be installed on Canadian National Railway Company Land for the future purpose of the extension of Thomson Drive that will provide a direct benefit to all residents of Kindersley, especially […]
