Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 28th. Resolutions regarding representatives to the Western Regional Landfill Inc. Executive Board, Lands with Arrears of Taxes, and the Curling Club Reserve were made.

Council resolved to recommend Curtis Sackville, Rod Perkins, Dean Galbraith, and Kim Vogel as representatives to the Western Regional Landfill Inc. Executive Board to fill the four positions allotted for Kindersley.

The List of Lands with Arrears of Taxes as of October 2019 was accepted. Any property on the List with an amount owing less than half of the immediately preceding year’s tax levy will be
omitted from said list before further proceeding.

A transfer of funds in the amount of $12,591.00 from the Curling Club Reserve was approved. These funds will be applied to the Kindersley Curling Club’s maintenance costs.

Council accepted as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $1,452,007.07.

Three readings of Bylaw 10-19, being a Bylaw of the Town of Kindersley to Regulate Smoking and Vaping (Smoking and Vaping Bylaw) were approved.

Three readings of Bylaw 11-19, being a Bylaw of the Town of Kindersley to Fix the Rates to be Charged for the Use and Consumption of Water and Fix the Rates to be Charged for the Discharge of Wastewater Into the Sanitary Sewer Lagoon (Utilities Rates Bylaw) were approved.

The Consent Agenda was approved including the following items: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (Mark Braken, ED SK Games Council – Invitation to Bid 2022 Winter Games, Wheatland Library – 2018 Annual Report, Wheatland Regional Library – 2019 Public Engagement, Saskatchewan Index of Well Being – A Summary Report 2019, EK Water Administration Board – September Pumping Report).
