Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, May 10, 2021. The following agenda items were resolved.

7.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley directed staff to apply for a grant opportunity from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Municipal Asset Management Program for Citywide Public Works Software. Be it therefore resolved that the Council of the Town of Kindersley commits to conducting the following activities in its proposed project submitted to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Municipal Asset Management Program to advance our asset management program: City Wide Route Patrol Software, City Wide Citizen Request Portal Implementation. Be it further resolved that the Council of the Town of Kindersley commits $3,300.00 from its budget toward the total cost of $16,500.00 of this initiative.

7.2: Council approved the Town’s Fee Schedule Related to Planning and Development as attached to and forming apart of these minutes.

7.3: Town Council resolved that in relation to Subdivision of Bare Land Condominium Units T0361-21S for a proposed bare land condominium units in the Town of Kindersley, and the Community Planning District of the Government of Saskatchewan’s request that the Council of the Town of Kindersley comment on the application; that the Council is not aware of any land or site conditions that would be incompatible with the intended use of the proposed application; and that the Council does not have any facilities affected by the proposed development; and that the intended use for this land listed on the application complies with the Town of Kindersley Zoning Bylaw 04-14; and that the Council does not require the applicant to provide municipal reserve land as they are exempt from providing municipal reserve land since it involves land previously subject to the requirement; and that the Council does not require the applicant to enter into a servicing agreement.

7.4: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into an Agreement with the Ministry of Government Relations for the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

7.5: Town Council appointed Jenna Rissling as the Designated Records Officer (DRO).

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley and in the amount of $266,268.04.

9.1: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed the week of May 9 to 15, 2021 to be Econonmic Development Week in the Town of Kindersley; and the Council encourages residents to continue to shop local.

9.2: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed the week of May 16 to 22, 2021 as Canadian Royal Purple Week in the Town of Kindersley; and Council hereby recognizes the Canadian Royal Purple for the significant impact it has made and continues to make in our community.

10.1: The Town of Kindersley Resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing: WRLI – Board Meeting Minutes – February 24, 2021, WRLI – Board Meeting Minutes – March 24, 2021, WRLI – Board Meeting Minutes – April 28, 2021, SAW April 2021 Newsletter, SaskPower Wood Pole Maintenance Program, SaskWater April 2021 Monthly Report.
