On Monday, June 15, 2026, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.
7.1: The Regular Public Meeting was suspended to open a Public Hearing to discuss the following item:
- Bylaw 05-26, a Bylaw to amend Bylaw 02-22 The Zoning Bylaw.
7.2: Upon no attendance from the public, the Public Hearing was concluded and the Regular Meeting of Council resumed.
8.1: The second and third readings of Bylaw 02-22, The Zoning Bylaw, were read and approved.
9.1: The Regular Public Meeting was suspended to open a Public Hearing to discuss the following item:
- Road Closure
9.2: Upon no attendance from the public, the Public Hearing was concluded and the Regular Meeting of Council resumed.
10.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to receive as presented the audited financial statements and supporting schedules of the Town of Kindersley for the year ended December 31, 2025, as prepared by CHBB; and that these documents are received as information and filed.
10.2: Town Council approved a Discretionary Use Application (26-03) for Discretionary Use at the residence of 146 Stewart Crescent on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of Zoning Bylaw 02-22. The applicant must obtain a Business License from the Town prior to operation and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined are not met with this proposed Home-Based Business, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.
10.3: Council approved a Discretionary Use Application (26-04) for Discretionary Use at the residence of 209 7th Avenue West on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of Zoning Bylaw 02-22. The applicant must obtain a Business License from the Town prior to operation and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined are not met with this proposed Home-Based Business, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.
10.4: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve and adopt the Kindersley Downtown Storefront Enhancement Incentive Policy, thereby executing the first phase of Council’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan priority for Main Street Beautification.
10.5: Town Council authoriozed the Chief Administrative Officer to proceed under the Tax Enforcement Act with title acquisition of the properties: Lot 3 Block 5 Plan G9 Extension No 0 and Lot 4 & 5 Block 5 Plan G9 Extension 0.
11.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $1,076,012.89 and Payroll in the amount of $388,387.12.
12.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:
