Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, August 24, 2020. The following agenda items were resolved.

8.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Cannabis Retail Store as a Discretionary Use at 208 12th Avenue East; on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Discretionary Commercial & Industrial Uses pursuant to Section 6.14.5.1 (a), of Zoning Bylaw 04-14; and that if any of the conditions outlined above are not met for this Cannabis Retail Store, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.

8.2: Whereas an agreement exists between the Town of Kindersley, and the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290, and the Rural Municipality of Newcombe No. 260 for the purpose of further developing and operating the Kindersley Regional Park; and whereas the Kindersley Regional Park Authority Board has approached the three partnering municipalities for further financial contributions to offset the impact of decreased revenue and the need for a capital upgrade to fencing for the golf course; then be it resolved that the Council of the Town of Kindersley approves an additional contribution of $12,500 for the year 2020 in lieu of any further increase to the annual contribution over the term of the current agreement, expiring December 16, 2024.

9.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolves to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley and in the amount of $1,432,405.19.

10.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolves to approve the Consent Agenda including the following items: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing – EK Water Board Pumping Report July 2020, RCMP Kindersley Detachment Statistics July 2020, and Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting August 11, 2020.
