Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday,April 27, 2020.The following resolutions were made regarding the Kinsmen Shack Build Project, the list of accounts, and several proclamations.

After completion of the RFP adjudication process, Council resolved to award Heartgold Homes Inc. as the successful proponent of the Kinsmen Park Shack Build Project.

Council resolved to allow the operation of cannabis retail in theTown of Kindersley, providing that all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations are strictly adhered to.

The list of accounts were accepted as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $419,514.58.

Council recognized the Volunteer Week (April 19-25, 2020) and the efforts made by everyday heroes who make our community a great place to live, especially those making efforts during a public health crisis. Council encouraged those who can to consider supporting the organizations in our community by becoming a volunteer.

The federally recognized Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace was also acknowledged by Council as April 28, 2020.All business owners, workers, and residents are encouraged to actively participate in educating themselves on workplace safety.

Emergency Preparedness Week in Kindersley is coming up on May 3-9, 2020. Council encourages all residents to participate in educating themselves on emergency preparedness by downloading early-warning apps, preparing to shelter in place, and remaining aware of developing situations in the community.

Economic Development Week is recognized in Saskatchewan on May 4-9, 2020. Residents are encouraged to shop local as much as possible, during this time and always.

Council resolved to approve the Consent Agenda including the following items: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (Con-Tech Lagoon Project Status Report -April 21, 2020, CN Rail Corporate Services Pandemic Donation -April 13, 2020.)
