Council Highlights – November 25 Regular Meeting
Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, November 25. Resolutions regarding a Crossing Agreement with Canadian National Railway Company, acceptance of the list of accounts, and the Consent Agenda were made.
A Crossing Agreement with Canadian National Railway Company for the lagoon and sewer truck project was entered into.
Council accepted as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of
Kindersley and in the amount of $400,368.18.
The Consent Agenda was approved including items: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (Crisis Centre – Annual Fundraising Initiative, Sask In Motion – Blue Cross Go Out & Play Challenge 2020, Salvation Army – Christmas Kettle Campaign).
Council Highlights – November 12, 2019 Regular Meeting
Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, November 12. Resolutions regarding the accounts paid by the Town of Kindersley, Saskatchewan Multicultural Week, and National Child Day were made.
Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley and in the amount of $3,347,761.93.
November 16 to 24, 2019 was proclaimed Saskatchewan Multicultural Week. Council urges residents to consider this year’s theme “Who’s Your Multicultural Superhero?” and to visit www.mcos.ca to find more information about multiculturalism in Saskatchewan.
A delegation presented to Council regarding National Child Day. November 20, 2019 was proclaimed National Child Day in the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages residents to join them in commemorating the signing of the UNCRC which has 54 articles, grouped into three categories of the rights of children: Rights of Provision (education, healthcare), Rights of Protection (from abuse, neglect), Rights of Participation (to be heard in matters affecting the child). Council Highlights – October 28, 2019 Regular Meeting
Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 28th. Resolutions regarding representatives to the Western Regional Landfill Inc. Executive Board, Lands with Arrears of Taxes, and the Curling Club Reserve were made.
Council resolved to recommend Curtis Sackville, Rod Perkins, Dean Galbraith, and Kim Vogel as representatives to the Western Regional Landfill Inc. Executive Board to fill the four positions allotted for Kindersley.
The List of Lands with Arrears of Taxes as of October 2019 was accepted. Any property on the List with an amount owing less than half of the immediately preceding year’s tax levy will be
omitted from said list before further proceeding.
A transfer of funds in the amount of $12,591.00 from the Curling Club Reserve was approved. These funds will be applied to the Kindersley Curling Club’s maintenance costs.
Council accepted as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $1,452,007.07.
Three readings of Bylaw 10-19, being a Bylaw of the Town of Kindersley to Regulate Smoking and Vaping (Smoking and Vaping Bylaw) were approved.
Three readings of Bylaw 11-19, being a Bylaw of the Town of Kindersley to Fix the Rates to be Charged for the Use and Consumption of Water and Fix the Rates to be Charged for the Discharge of Wastewater Into the Sanitary Sewer Lagoon (Utilities Rates Bylaw) were approved.

Council Highlights – October 15, 2019 Regular Meeting of Council
Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 15th. Resolutions regarding a paving change order, the Community Grant Program, and a Heliport Feasibility Study were made.
Council accepted Change Order #1 related to the previously awarded 2019 Road Construction Contract Agreement between the Town of Kindersley and Mobile Paving Ltd. The change order will increase the Colton Drive and Railway
Avenue Road Construction to include 3,300sq.m. of the Ditson Drive paving project.
Successful applicants from the Community Grant Program 2019 Fall Intake include: Prairie West Growing Project, Kindersley and District Chamber of Commerce, Kindersley Library Board, Kindersley Players, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57, Kindersley Screen Arts, and Kindersley Antique Threshing Club.
Council resolved to distribute funds not to exceed $5,000 plus applicable taxes to complete a Heliport Feasibility Study by AVIOTEC International, and that the funds be considered part of the Community Grant Program, Fall 2019.
The list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley was accepted in the amount of $2,327,996.98.
October 21 to 27, 2019 was proclaimed as Waste Reduction Week in the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages residents to join them in leading our community toward environmental sustainability.
The Consent Agenda was approved including the following: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (Stantec – Firehall Progress Report, RCMP Kindersley – August 2019 Statistics, RCMP Kindersley – September 2019 Statistics, SaskWater – September 2019 Monthly Report.
