Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, December 10, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding the recreation reserve, the fire hall reserve, and the dates of the meetings of Council in 2019.Council approved the transfer of $25,000 to the Recreation Reserve and $32,000 to the Fire Hall Reserve for projects included but not completed in the approved 2018 Capital and operating budget.Write off listings were approved for the Town Accounts Receivable, Utilities, and Mobile Home License Fees accounts. Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, November 26, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding bylaw amendments, a lease agreement at the airport, and the new fire hall.A public hearing was convened to discuss Bylaw 13-18 being a Bylaw to Amend Bylaw 04-14 the Kindersley Zoning Bylaw. Hearing no objections, the Bylaw was subsequently approved.Council approved the second reading to Bylaw 9-18 being a Bylaw to Amend Bylaw 04-14 the Kindersley Zoning Bylaw. Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding Aquatic Centre fees, representatives to the Executive Board of the Western Regional Landfill Inc, and more.Council approved the presentation of the rates for the new Aquatic Centre. Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, October 22, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding an Option to Purchase Agreement, a Kindersley Tourism advertisement, and approval of the Consent Agenda.Council directed the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter an Option to Purchase Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen for land to be utilized for the location of the new RCMP Detachment. Council Highlights Sept. 24 Regular Meeting

 Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday September 24, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding our new CAO, a home-based business request, servicing agreements, and fire prevention week. Audrey Hebert was appointed as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the Town of Kindersley. Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday September 10, 2018. Wonderful Memories

Retta Thompson was a former resident of the T Eaton Co. house, currently located at the Kindersley and District Plains Museum, donated by herself and her sister May. She recently donated original artifacts from the house including an alarm clock and photograph of her father, Mr. Johnston Hill. In 1918 the precut lumber for the house was sent from British Columbia to Pinkham, Saskatchewan by rail. It was then brought to Zilda and Johnston Hill’s farm site by horse and wagon (6 miles northwest of Eatonia). The lumber cost $970 with an additional $750 for building materials. Special Meetings of Council Held July 27 and August 1, 2018

Special Meetings of Council were held on July 27 and August 1, 2018 to discuss matters needing attention prior to the next Regular Meeting of Council on August 20.During the July 27 meeting, Council approved first reading of Bylaw 09-18, a Bylaw to Amend Bylaw 04-14 known as the Zoning Bylaw. The Bylaw amends and updates the Land Use Map within the Zoning Bylaw to include rezoning of civic address 802-11th Avenue East. Highlights from July 16, 2018 Council Meeting

Council directed Administration to make application to the Ministry of Government Relations to have the Town of Kindersley designated an eligible assistance area under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP), which provides financial assistance for restoring essential services and property. The application relates to the July 10 thunderstorm that resulted in excessive rainfall totalling at least 32 mm throughout Kindersley and substantial property damage.Resident Juliette Schonnop addressed Council as a delegation to discuss concerns about drainage around 2nd Avenue East and the issues experienced during the heavy.
