Seasonal Parks Labourer

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of municipal parks, including but not limited to mowing, weeding, and pruning and during winter, snow removal at recreation / municipal facilities as well as paths and other assigned duties.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and tools.
• Participate in litter collection and waste disposal efforts within the parks.
• Support special events and activities taking place in municipal parks.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and safe environment for the community.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, or related field is an asset.
• Ability to operate landscaping and small snow clearing equipment.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and bending.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining park aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekdays and occasional weekends.
