Council Highlights – October 10, 2023 Regular Meeting
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Town Council held their Regular Meeting.
7.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley recommended:
- Curtis Sackville
- Dean Galbraith
- Kim Vogel
- Warren Shafer
As representatives to the Executive Board of the Western Regional Landfill Inc. as the four (4) positions allotted for Kindersley as per the per capita Western Regional Landfill Inc. (WRLI). Executive Board structure and that the recommended representatives may be formally adopted to the Executive Board at the 2023 Annual WRLI AGM held on November 22, 2023.
7.2: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $274,797.67.
9.1: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed October 16 to 22, 2023 as Waste Reduction Week throughout the Town of Kindersley. Council encourages residents to join them in taking action to reduce our waste and support a circular economy.
9.2: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed October 19, 2023 as Canadian Royal Purple’s National Purple Thursday. Council encourages residents to wear purple on National Purple Thursday (October 19, 2023) to raise awareness of the intersection of Acquired Brain Injury and the incidence of Interpersonal Violence which effects as high as one in three women in Canada.
10.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:
- Kindersley Regional Park Authority AGM Minutes – September 21, 2023
- Kindersley Regional Park Authority Board Minutes – September 24, 2023
- Library Board Minutes – September 26, 2023
- Downtown Kindersley Association Minutes – October […]
