We are thrilled to announce that we were awarded “Facility of the Year” in the category of “Recreation” for The Beach at the Motherwell Reservoir! We are very much looking forward for the warm weather so everyone can enjoy the first full season at The Beach! ![]()

Council Highlights – April 8, 2024 Regular Meeting
On Monday, April 8, 2024, Town Council held their Regular Meeting.
6.1: Council resolved to approve as presented the Minutes from the March 25, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council.
7.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to proceed under the Tax Enforcement Act with title acquisition of the property: Lot 3, Block 2, Plan G9.
7.2: Town Council resolved to commit a total of $350,000.00 for the Kinder Kollege Capital Building Project located at 200 Thomson Drive; and that the payments shall be paid in five installments as follows:
- $70,000.00 made payable in 2024
- $70,000.00 made payable in 2025
- $70,000.00 made payable in 2026
- $70,000.00 made payable in 2027
- $70,000.00 made payable in 2028
7.3: Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Week is April 29 to May 5, 2024. Council announced their support of the Smile Cookie Program at Tim Hortons. The Council will be partnering to help Kinder Kollege earn funding for their Capital Building Project located at 200 Thomson Drive. One Councillor will partner with one Kinder Kollege volunteer each weekday of the Smile Cookie Program.
7.4: The Beach won an award for Facility of the Year in the category of Recreation through Rivers West!
8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $879,863.09.

PBR to Hold Debut Event in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on September 5
Fresh off winning his second PBR Canada Championship, Kindersley’s own Dakota Buttar to hold the Energy Dodge Dakota Buttar Invitational at the Kindersley West Central Events Centre
KINDERSLEY, Sask. (April 4, 2024) – For the first time in history, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) will buck into Kindersley, Saskatchewan, as famed local rider Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) readies to host the Energy Dodge Dakota Buttar Invitational, part of the Canadian Touring Pro Division, on September 5 at the Kindersley West Central Events Centre.
For one night only, fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the unpredictable, action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 2,000-pound opponents born to buck.
The Energy Dodge Dakota Buttar Invitational will feature 30 of Canada’s best riders alongside some of the PBR’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls from across Canada.
“I’m humbled by the support Kindersley has shown me over the years and is now showing for the first ever PBR event with my name on it,” said Buttar. “I grew up in Kindersley and I’m very proud to be able to bring the best of the PBR to my hometown, it’s a dream come true.”
