On Monday, February 10, 2025, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.

7.1: A presentation was given by the Kindersley RCMP regarding the January 2025 Monthly Mayor’s Policing Report, goals for the year, and concerns addressed by Council. The new Staff Sergeant Sebastian Andrews introduced himself to Council. Two officers from the Kindersley Detachment were also introduced to Council. Sebastian will present quarterly to Council. He mentioned that crime is relatively low in Kindersley compared to other similarly populated towns and cities. He believes a Skate Park would be a positive addition for the youth as it keeps them out of trouble by doing something constructive. The RCMP is short staffed and trying to recruit. They will be attending career fairs in the area to gain new recruits.

7.2: A presentation was given by the Town of Kindersley contracted Economic Development Officer D’Shae Bussiere, regarding current economic development updates. Council completed an exercise in which they gave their thoughts on “what Kindersley is good at that everyone knows about”, “what Kindersley is good at that no one knows about”, and “what we can do to improve the current quality of life in Kindersley”.

8.1: Town Council was given a short recap of the training that took place for new Council members.

8.2: Administration suggested that the 7th Street West Park needs a more community oriented name. Council agreed that polling the community or creating a contest as an engagement project would be a great idea. Administration will finalize the idea.
