Meet Your Mayor: Ken Francis
I lived on the farm at Mantario and took all my K-12 schooling in Eatonia. I attended Olds College after graduating from high school.
After completing my 2-year Petroleum Land Agent program, I found work in Regina as a land agent working for oil and gas operators and crown utilities. My final contract while in Regina was with TransCanada Pipelines.
When Karen and I became engaged, we knew Regina wasn’t the place for us as it was too far from home and family. I took a position in Saskatoon with SaskPower and Karen worked for the Page Credit Union. We had really good careers there but gave them up to move home.
We were expecting our first (of 3 children) when I started Palliser Land Ltd. (later Millennium Land & Grassland Environmental Inc.) as well as farming with my parents.
We have been proud residents and taxpayers of Kindersley ever since moving back actively contributing to the local community from both a business and volunteer perspective.

Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Opening 2024
The Christmas Kettle donations stay with local families in need. The funds go towards local families in crisis, programming such as music and Bible camps for children, as well as purchasing ham and turkey for the Christmas Food Hampers.
We encourage our residents to donate if you are able. If you are unable to donate, but can give time, the Salvation Army is still looking for volunteers to help out with ringing the bells and taking donations both cash in the bubble and through tap on the sign. If you are interested in ringing bells, please contact Jodi Geddes by email at: jodi-4@hotmail.com
