Official Swearing in Ceremony: 2024-2028 Term
Last night at our first Regular Meeting of Council for the 2024-2028 term, the Official Swearing in Ceremony was performed. We are excited to welcome Mayor Kenneth Francis, Councillor Rob Anderson, Councillor Anthony Barlow, Councillor Randy Ervine, Councillor Shaun Henry, Councillor Kevin Martin, Councillor Warren Schafer to the team!
The Deputy Mayor was also appointed by Mayor Francis. We’d like to congratulate the new Deputy Mayor, Warren Schafer!

Meet Your Mayor: Ken Francis
I lived on the farm at Mantario and took all my K-12 schooling in Eatonia. I attended Olds College after graduating from high school.
After completing my 2-year Petroleum Land Agent program, I found work in Regina as a land agent working for oil and gas operators and crown utilities. My final contract while in Regina was with TransCanada Pipelines.
When Karen and I became engaged, we knew Regina wasn’t the place for us as it was too far from home and family. I took a position in Saskatoon with SaskPower and Karen worked for the Page Credit Union. We had really good careers there but gave them up to move home.
We were expecting our first (of 3 children) when I started Palliser Land Ltd. (later Millennium Land & Grassland Environmental Inc.) as well as farming with my parents.
We have been proud residents and taxpayers of Kindersley ever since moving back actively contributing to the local community from both a business and volunteer perspective.
