Council Highlights – April 25, 2022

Town Council held a Regular Meeting on Monday, April 25, 2022. The following agenda items were resolved.

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $465,797.15.

9.1: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed May 15-21, 2022 as National Public Works Week. The Council of the Town of Kindersley encourages all residents to join in activities, events and ceremonies designed to pay tribute to our public works professionals, engineers, managers and employees and to recognize the substantial contributions they make to protecting our national health, safety, and quality of life.

9.2: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed April 28, 2022 as A Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace. The Council of the Town of Kindersley encourages all business owners, workers, and residents to actively participate in educating themselves on workplace safety.

9.3: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed May 1-7, 2022 as Emergency Preparedness Week. The Council of the Town of Kindersley encourages all residents to participate in educating themselves on emergency preparedness by downloading early warning apps, preparing to shelter in place, and remaining aware of developing situations in the community.

10.1: Town Council resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:

  1. 2022 Education Property Mill Rates
  2. Drinking Water Annual Notice to Consumers
  3. Chamber of Commerce Meeting Notes
  4. WRLI Board Meeting Minutes – Feb. 23, 2022
  5. WRLI Letter to Members March 29, 2022
  6. Kindersley Museum Minutes April 12, 2022

Council Highlights – April 11, 2022 Regular Meeting

Town Council held a Regular Meeting on Monday, April 11, 2022. The following agenda items were resolved.

7.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to accept the recommendation of the Adjudication Committee and awarded Berg Industrial Service as the successful bidder for the WCEC Compressor project as per submitted tender, and the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) were directed to enter into an agreement in the amount of $187, 088 plus applicable taxes.

7.2: Council resolved to accept the recommendation Adjudication Committee and awarded Berg Industrial Service as the successful bidder for the WCEC Chiller project as per the submitted tender, and the Mayor and Chief Administrative Offer (CAO) were directed to enter into an agreement in the amount of $96, 920 plus applicable taxes.

8.1: Town Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley and in the amount of $276, 555.79.

9.1: Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed April 24 to 30, 2022 as National Volunteer Week. Council encourages all residents to continue thanking volunteers, and to support the fine organizations in our community by becoming a volunteer.

10.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which included the following items for acceptance and filing:

  1. Kindersley Policing Report – March 2022
  2. SSRWSI Board Meeting Minutes – January 18, 2022
