West Central Events Centre Refrigeration Plant Lifecycle Upgrade

“Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, and Saskatchewan’s Government Relations Minister Don McMorris, announced more than $19.7 million in joint funding for 25 infrastructure projects across the province.”
“In the Town of Kindersley, the West Central Event Centre will benefit from a complete lifecycle upgrade of its refrigeration plant. The upgrade will increase energy efficiency and create a greener and self-sustaining facility. Other measures to reduce energy consumption include replacing leaky exterior doors and converting to LED lighting throughout the facility.”

Council Highlights – January 23, 2023 Regular Meeting

Town Council held a Regular Meeting on Monday, January 23, 2023.

7.2: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into a 5 year agreement with Pathway to Wellness for facility rental.

7.3: Council resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into an Agreement with Saskatchewan Power Corporation and Saskatchewan Telecommunications for a Utility Easement.

7.4: Town Council appointed Kristen Tokaryk with Western Municipal Consulting Ltd. as Secretary to the Board of Revision for the term of January 1, 2023 through to December 31, 2023; remuneration as set out in Western Municipal Consulting Ltd. fee schedule. If Kristen Tokaryk is unable to perform secretarial functions for reasons which may include scheduling difficulties the secretary may appoint a delegate to perform administrative functions and may appoint a recording secretary for the purposes of any hearing.

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $425,919.19.

9.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:

  1. Kindersley Chamber Board Meeting Minutes – Dec 15, 2022
  2. Kindersley Museum Minutes – January 10, 2023
