Snow Removal Map

Every winter presents its own set of challenges in keeping streets and roadways clear for traffic. After a snowfall, the Town’s primary responsibility is to keep roads passable so that vehicles can drive safely. First priority is given to emergency routes and main arterial roads, including access to the hospital and schools. When possible, the Town will notify residents in advance of the roads that are scheduled for snow removal throughout the winter season.
The first goal is to have Emergency, Priority 1 & 2 routes plowed and de-iced and/or sanded by 9:00 am, prior to the morning traffic. This goal is contingent on the amount and duration of any snowfall. The secondary goal is to have all remaining priority streets plowed within three working days. Non-priority streets are typically low-volume residential streets which are only plowed if 4″ of snow accumulation is present upon completion of priorities.
In order to ensure streets are cleaned as efficiently as possible, citizens are asked to avoid parking vehicles on the street, if at all possible, if snow clearing is required in that area.

Kindersley RCMP Monthly Report – November 5, 2024

Between October 28th and November 4th, 2024, Kindersley RCMP responded to 36 calls for service* including the following:
– RCMP received a complaint of a motor vehicle collision involving a deer, near Marengo. Nobody was injured.
– RCMP are investigating a complaint of uttering threats in Kindersley.
– Police attended a false alarm at a business in Kindersley.
– Report of a possible impaired driver in Kindersley. Police did not locate the vehicle.
– RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle that was damaged overnight near Kindersley.
– Police responded to a complaint of people trying to break into a house. Upon arrival, no people were in the area and no sign of any damage to the house.
Now that the winter weather has started, please remember to remove all snow from your vehicle, including from your headlights, taillights, roof and windows. Before travelling check the weather forecast for both your current location and your destination. Delay your travel if at all possible during storm warnings to keep yourself, other drivers and first responders safe.
