On Monday, August 11, 2025, Town Council had their Regular Meeting. 7.1: Council heard a presentation from Garth Hoffman regarding his complaint of the noise of the aerator fountains at the Motherwell Reservoir. 8.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to rename the Norman Ritchie Community Centre to the Norman Ritchie Community Arts Centre. 9.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $2,479,286.92. 10.1: Town Council resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which included the following items for acceptance and filing: WRLI Board Meeting Minutes [...]

Coyote Safety

Coyotes can be found in urban centers throughout North America. They are most commonly found in open spaces like parks and naturalized areas, but can also be seen in residential neighborhoods. As with any wildlife, it is preferred to not disturb them and leave their ecosystem intact. They help maintain a healthy and balanced ecosystem by controlling rodent and rabbit populations. Relocated coyotes struggle in new environments and removing them can destabilize their family structure, inviting new coyotes to move in. Badgers in Kindersley

Please be aware there are badgers in and around the Town of Kindersley. Keep an eye on your pets, do not leave garbage or food out, use your motion sensor lights and be alert. DO NOT approach or corner a badger!! If startled or feeling threatened they may become aggressive. We will be consulting with the Conservation Office and update with any progress!

Pulling water from cn reservoir

Due to a power outage at our river pump station over the weekend we had to pull water briefly from the CN reservoir. Water maybe be discoloured or have a “earthy” smell. The water is safe for drinking and meets all the parameters set out by the Water Security Agency.

Park-A-Thon Photos 2025

Last weekend we had our first Park-A-Thon! The object of the game was to pick up a passport from the Tourism Advisors at the Kindersley Museum & Tourism Centre and take a photo with various household items to show that you played at each of our local parks.
