Council Highlights November 25, 2024 – Regular Meeting

On November 25, 2024, the new Council of 2024-2028 had their first meeting. The meeting began with the Official Swearing in Ceremony of the Mayor and each Councillor. Meet Your Deputy Mayor: Warren Schafer

Hey, Warren Schafer here, I am excited to have been re-elected for town Council where I have been a member for the past four years. I’ve lived in Kindersley since the late 80’s with my wife and four kids. Most of my spare time is spent chasing kids around for activities, while trying to find time for a round of golf or a hunting or camping getaway. Snow Removal Update: November 26, 2024

If possible we remind residents to remove vehicles from parking lanes in the scheduled areas for snow removal. We understand this may not always be possible but empty streets allow us to clear directly to the curb! Official Swearing in Ceremony: 2024-2028 Term

Last night at our first Regular Meeting of Council for the 2024-2028 term, the Official Swearing in Ceremony was performed. We are excited to welcome Mayor Kenneth Francis, Councillor Rob Anderson, Councillor Anthony Barlow, Councillor Randy Ervine, Councillor Shaun Henry, Councillor Kevin Martin, Councillor Warren Schafer to the team! Meet Your Mayor: Ken Francis

I’m proud to say that I was born and raised in the Kindersley area. I was born in the (then new) Kindersley hospital in 1967. I lived on the farm at Mantario and took all my K-12 schooling in Eatonia. I attended Olds College after graduating from high school. After completing my 2-year Petroleum Land Agent program, I found work in Regina as a land agent working for oil and gas operators and crown utilities. *Update* Carlyle Richard has been located! On November 25, 2024, Kindersley RCMP received a report of a missing person. 32 year old Carlyle RICHARD has been reported missing and was last seen one week ago in Kindersley, Sk. Carlyle is approximately 5'8", long scruffy brown hair, and a long brown beard. If you know a current address or phone number for Carlyle or have any information that can help find him, please contact Kindersley RCMP at 306-463-4642 (Option 3 to get through to Police) or dial 310-RCMP after hours.
