Kindersley RCMP Kept Busy with Warmer Weather 2023-06-12 Kindersley RCMP were kept busy with various calls over the past week. During the evening of June 7th Kindersley RCMP members conducted a traffic stop for a traffic infraction. The driver attempted to flee the traffic stop and when apprehended by RCMP the subject assaulted one of the officers involved. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested for Assaulting a Peace Officer under section 270 of the Criminal Code and faces several other related Criminal Code charges and traffic charges under the Traffic Safety Act. In the last few days, we have had many questions regarding our lagoon, here are the top few questions and answers: Why does the lagoon smell so bad? An aerated lagoon, regardless of what community it may be located in, will have odors from time to time. The lagoon is an open body of wastewater and though we aerating the water, many things contribute to odors: Spring thaw when the ice begins breaking up Changing effluent levels in any of the cells - for example, lowering the level - the banks are wet and an odor comes off the sides Change [...]

Who keeps these lovely baskets and the flower boxes alive on hot days like today? Our awesome Parks team! Some of the duties of the parks team include, but aren't limited to maintaining our green spaces and parks, maintaining our ball diamonds, and taking care of the flowers. Duties vary during the winter. Our team includes a couple of full-time workers and some seasonal summer students. #ParksAndRecreationMonth

Kindersley Aquatic Centre = COMMUNITY It's #ParksAndRecreationMonth and there's no better way to celebrate than to tell our viewers about our awesome facilities, parks, and staff. Today our feature is the Kindersley Aquatic Centre. Not only does the KAC (and it's awesome staff) keep people on the move, it also creates an awesome space for socializing and connecting folks of all ages. For some, it is a regular part of their busy daily routine, for others, we're happy that they choose visiting the KAC as their singular daily outing.
