Recreation and Culture

We'd like to put out a huge THANK YOU to those who have made such an effort to keep their yards tidy this summer. Here are some photos of our favourite yards (in no particular order) that really went the extra mile to make the residential areas of Kindersley pop! Just beautiful! If you haven't taken any time to clean up your yard, there's still time this season. Some of the items that need addressing on some properties in town include: - overgrown weeds & grass - overgrown/hazardous trees/shrubs (please remember that we have an Elm Tree pruning ban right now) [...]

Lots of work behind the scenes to finish, staff and crews have been working hard to get the arena boards looking nice and clean. A new kickplate is being installed in the Events Centre arena. We’re hoping to have ice ready to skate on within the first couple weeks of August!

Thank you so much for coming out to our Canada Day celebrations! We sure had fun at the Kindersley Museum & Tourism Centre!  

Another look at the progress for the Motherwell Beach & Recreation Area. We can't wait for you to see it up close, however, we do advise you to stay on the walking path and away from the construction area, as we aren't quite finished yet and there are still hazards. The Motherwell Beach & Recreation Area will be home to: - picnicking areas & a gazebo - a showerhouse with year round access - water access to launch non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards - beach volleyball court - sand for sandcastle building and lounging - improvement of [...]

The Kindersley All-Wheel Park & Recreation Area had an awesome turnout for a Basic Skills Session & BBQ! The group is hoping to host weekly skill sessions and will be continuing to fundraise for the All-Wheel Park & Recreation Area to be built in the near future! MEET OUR PART-TIME TOURISM ADVISOR: AILANIE Ailanie and her family migrated in Kindersley, SK last September 2022 from the county of Kuwait. She is an experienced Accountant and Operation Officer in Kuwait for 18 years. Ailanie obtained an Accounting Bookkeeping certificate from Career City College in Alberta, Canada. She is currently working as a seasonal Tourism Advisor at Town of Kindersley. When she’s not working she loves outdoor activity, playing volleyball ball and badminton with her kids. For her family’s happiness is the priority.
