April 28, 2024 Day of Mourning Proclamation

Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed that April 28, 2024 be recognized as A Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace. Kindersley RCMP & Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Team Execute Search Warrant

2024-04-23 As a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Kindersley area, Kindersley RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a search warrant on Railway Avenue West in Kindersley on April 17. Officers located and seized: - approximately 451 grams of MDMA; - approximately 232 grams of methamphetamine; - approximately 50 grams of cocaine packaged into one gram bags; - a sum of cash; - trafficking paraphernalia; and - a firearm and ammunition. Elm Tree Pruning Ban April 1 to August 31, 2024

Dutch Elm Disease (DED) is a deadly fungus that can kill an elm in as little as three weeks by clogging its water-conducting vessels. Once a tree is infected by DED, it needs to be removed and disposed of properly by either burying it or burning it. The Town of Kindersley is dedicated to keeping DED out of our community. Every year the Saskatchewan Dutch Elm Disease Association (SDEDA) implements a pruning ban from April 1 to August 31.
