National Lifeguard Training – April 22 to 26

Want to become a lifeguard? Next week the Kindersley Aquatic Centre will be hosting the National Lifeguard Training Course.  It will be April 22-26, 2019 with a cost of $300.00. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite. To register email Chantelle.b@kindersley.ca

Major Projects – Kindersley Lagoon Expansion

You may have noticed the smell of the lagoon in town. This is due to the warming and cooling of the spring temperatures. The upgrades that our funding will include will greatly improve this issue. Kindersley Lagoon Funding

Kindersley has been approved for funding through the Provincial Territorial Infrastructure Component for National and Regional Projects of the New Building Canada Fund. The funding is for upgrades to the Kindersley Lagoon which will allow for future capacity and growth and will ensure that we continue meeting the government regulations for treatment of effluent under Water Security Agencies. This project was initially sent in 2015 and final approval has now been given. The project will be completed in a 2 year phase. This will greatly increase our wastewater treatment capacity for our entire community. More information to come!

Council Highlights – April 8, 2019 Regular Meeting

Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, April 8, 2019. The following resolutions were made regarding Bylaw Officers, the list of accounts paid by the Town of Kindersley, and Bylaw 05-19.Council resolved to appoint Melissa Torrens and Joseph Newling as Bylaw Officers within the Town of Kindersley pursuant to Section 373 of the Municipalities Act. The two will be considered as Peace Officers for the purposes of bylaw enforcement under The Summary Offenses Procedure Act, 1990. Kindness Within Our Community

One of the best things about living in Kindersley is our residents! We received a story from our Aquatic Centre staff that we thought we should share! Someone had forgotten their money to pay their family’s admission. No more than a few seconds later multiple people were offering to pay their way. How awesome is that?
