Resident Snow Removal Residents

Cooperative Effort

Effective snow removal and plowing of snow on Town streets is a cooperative effort of both the Town street crews and local residents. The Town depends on individuals to be cooperative while the plowed berms may interfer with the flow of traffic for a short period of time. Individuals are required to place their shoveled / plowed snow on their own property and not in the bike lanes or the street. Your cooperation helps keep the streets safe for travel.

Property owners removing snow from parking lots and business locations can deposit large quantities of snow at the designated snow dump area north of the Kindersley Waste and Recycle Centre. Snow Dump Area

The Town of Kindersley Bylaw

The Town asks that all residents and contractors comply with all applicable bylaws in regards to snow on their property and which prohibits a private individual from depositing snow upon public streets or sidewalks. The code states that depositing of snow and ice is restricted. Find a bylaw here.

The Town recognizes that snow plowing may block some driveways and that it leaves temporary berms on the streets being cleaned. We understand that clearing berms is inconvenient, but it is unfortunately a byproduct of snow plowing and clearing streets before the snow blower gets there.
