Fall/Winter hours of operation
The Museum is closed from September till May. Exception are made for holidays, festivals, events and special bookings. Please contact the Museum to book during this season.
The museum has a variety of spaces and equipment, which it is able to rent out for public and private use. When renting rooms for events and programming, the Museum has a variety of tables and chairs for setup. When choosing a space for your activity, please call the Museum for assistance regarding what space will best fit the needs of your program.
This Main Hall is situated in the heart of the Museum main building. Exhibit rooms wrap both sides of the hall, leading to a stage at the front end, equipped with a sound system and projector screen (retractable). An auxiliary kitchen is connected to the hall for catering purposes as well. This space is great for large groups or programs that require space for activity areas. Some suggested uses include: workshops (educational or corporate), training sessions, events, programs and presentations, gatherings and shows.
This space can fit approximately 100 seated at tables or 200+ seated in theatre style.

The Gallery is situated at the front of the Museum main building, to the right of the lobby. Exhibit cases featuring the heritage of Kindersley and District frame the south end of the room. Stage risers are available for use in this space as well as portable audio/visual equipment. This space is great for small to medium sized groups or programs that require space for activity areas. Some suggested uses include: workshops (educational or corporate), training sessions, small events, presentations, gatherings and shows.
This space can fit approximately 80 seated at tables or 100 seated in theatre style.

Library & Research Room
The Library & Research Room is located to the left of the lobby. This is where the Museum’s archive and collection of reference and source books are held. Available for use in the room is a public computer which enables visitors to look through our collection database at their own pace or conduct research. The room also features a table with seating for eight. This space is great for small groups. Some suggested uses include: small group workshops (educational or corporate) and training sessions.

Rex Theatre Room
The Rex Theatre is located within the Main Hall, next to the auxiliary kitchen. The theatre room is equipped with a 32” monitor, DVD player and surround sound. It was redesigned to resemble a classic movie theatre; complete with posters, wall sconces and curtains. This room is great for private screenings, gatherings and small parties (ex. Birthday parties).

This fee includes the rental of property space for an undetermined amount of time. The fee will increase based upon requests at time of booking. These requests may include but not be limited to, refreshments/food, special set-up, equipment use, amount of property used).

This fee enables the use of Museum property for setting purposes during photograph sessions. This is commonly used for weddings and graduations.

Cook House – Thrashing teams
Our tractor, machinery and automotive collection is featured in two cold storage sheds and woven throughout our back heritage village. Our collection features tractors of various makes and models from as early as 1915, farming equipment for numerous jobs and vehicles from assorted time periods ranging from a stage coach to a restored 1941 Chevrolet ton and a half truck.
