Parks and Playgrounds
Kindersley has an abudance of well-maintained outdoor green spaces, including the Kindersley Regional Park and Golf Course and 8 neighbourhood parks located throughout the community. These parks are maintained on an ongoing basis by the Town of Kindersley's Parks Department, in addition to many volunteers and community service groups.
The Parks Department maintains a regular schedule for watering, mowing, and care of trees and flowerbeds. In addition, mosquito control applications are performed weekly by trained Public Works employees.
Kindersley Regional Park and Golf Course is located along Ditson Drive, adjacent to the Motherwell Reservoir and is bordered by the Kindersley Walking Trail. It offers 45 paved and gravel sites with 30-amp service, water hook ups and picnic tables. The 9-hole golf course includes power and pull cart rentals, club rentals, a driving range, and restaurant/lounge. Open mid April through October.
The Kindersley Community Walking Trail consists of 3.6 kilometres of paved trail wrapping around the picturesque Motherwell Reservoir. The trail is a place of quiet serenity nestled within an active and vibrant community, and provides the perfect environment for people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors year-round.
The Kindersley Community Walking Trail Committee was formed in late 2001 with a mandate to develop the recreational opportunities around the Motherwell Reservoir. Other amenities include a parking lot and pavillion, benches and picnic areas, and interpretive signs surrounding the trail.
