The Town of Kindersley awarded the Road Construction Tender at their July 9, 2019 Council meeting.  The tender was awarded to Mobile Paving Ltd.  They are set to mobilize late July/early August.  The projects that have been approved are the following:

 

 

 

 

Road Construction, including asphalt:

1. 9^th Avenue West Extension
2. Railway Avenue East Extension
3. Colton Drive
4. Norman Ritchie Centre Parking Lot

Road Asphalt Resurfacing:

1. 11^th Avenue West (Main Street to 8^th Street West)
2. Cemetery Main Roadway

Paving Projects from 2018 that will be completed in 2019:

1. Aquatic Centre Parking Lot
2. New Firehall Parking Lot

 

The Road Construction tender annually also includes hot asphalt patching.  Annually the Town of Kindersley spends approximately $150,000 on patching throughout Kindersley.  Areas slated for 2019 include, but not limited to the following:

Various Utility (Water/Sewer) Excavation Patches – some include:

• New Firehall – 2 large patches from water/sewer connects that occurred late 2018 and early 2019
• 5^th Avenue East by new Aquatic Center – water connection – occurred late 2018
• Thomson Drive, by Coleman Park – water connection for irrigation project – occurred spring 2019
• 900 Block Main Street – Water Main Break Repair

 

Various Patches due to Asphalt Failure:

• 11^th Avenue East – by Kindersley Inn
• 11^th Avenue East – Walmart Intersection
• Ditson Drive / West Road Intersection
• Philips Court – Hydrant replacement area and damage from water tower removal
• 300 Block of 7^th Avenue West – Water Main Break
• 6^th Street Crescent – Water Main Break
