The Council of the Town of Kindersley is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all those living in and visiting Kindersley and proudly supports the Firefighters of the Kindersley Fire Department as one of the most highly trained departments in the province, proficient in both fire-fighting and emergency rescue techniques, and who are dedicated to reducing the occurrence of home fires and home fire injuries through prevention, protection, and education. The 2020 Fire Prevention Week theme is “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!” and cooking is the number one cause of home fires and home fire injuries, and unattended cooking is the leading cause of fires in the kitchen. Mayor Rod Perkins, proclaimed October 4 to 10, 2020 as Fire Prevention Week throughout the Town of Kindersley.
