The Kindersley Culture Plan Advisory Committee is putting the finishing touches on the Kindersley Culture Plan, a year-long collaborative project that has generated significant feedback from the community.
You are invited to participate in the final Online Survey here before March 22, 2017 (11:59 pm), which also offers a glimpse of the feedback received so far since work began on the Kindersley Culture Plan. More than 300 responses were received for the first two online surveys, which were conducted in 2016. Those surveys invited respondants to share their thoughts on Kindersley's cultural identity. For more information about those, click here.
Results of the current survey will be included in the final Culture Plan Report that is to be submitted to Council on March 27, 2017.
In addition to the surveys, the Culture Plan process consisted of a variety of community and school activities, several public consultations and stakeholder meetings, including forums for community organizations, the businesses sector, and seniors.
Kindersley's Culture Plan is intended to be a document written for the community, by the community. A Culture Plan supports the four essential pillars of sustainable communities:
- Economic Prosperity
- Social Equity
- Environmental Responsibility
- Cultural Vitality
Culture plays an important role in the overall quality of life in a community. Kindersley's Culture Plan is an important tool to increase community engagement and collectively enhance community activity and participation, with a special focus on local creative industries.
Members of the Kindersley Culture Plan Advisory Committee represent a variety of creative and community sectors within Kindersley and have volunteered their time to assist the Town of Kindersley in shaping this important plan.More: Home News Town News
