On Monday, July 13, 2026, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.

7.1: The Council of the Town of Kindersley directed the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer to enter into a Curbside Collection Agreement with Multi-Material Recycling Inc. carrying on business as SK Recycles.

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $1,274,533.74 and Payroll in the amount of $115,286.22.

9.1: Town Council approved the Consent Agenda which included the following items for acceptance and filing:

For Sale by Tender

Town of Kindersley has for sale by tender a 2019 Schulte SDX-117 snow blower, a 2023 Schulte SDX-117 snow blower and a truck bed service body. Both blowers are in good working condition.

Public Drinking Water Advisory is now in Effect for 217, 215, 213, 211, 207, 203, 201 10th Ave West and 223, 215 11th Ave West.

Red Notices have been distributed to all affected properties.

When water testing is complete and all results have come back negative the town will distribute a green notice to all affected properties letting them know the advisory is over.

During a Public Drinking Water Advisory:
– boil all water, used for drinking purposes, for at least one (1) minute, at a rolling boil, prior to use;
– boil water to be used for other activities where it may be ingested, including: brushing teeth or soaking false teeth; washing fruits and vegetables; food or drink which will not be subsequently heated; and ice cubes;
– do not use the water for washing dishes, unless the water has been boiled or the dishes are sanitized in another fashion. Washed dishes and utensils can be soaked in a bleach water solution (approximately 2 tablespoons of bleach per gallon or 10 ml of bleach per liter of water) for at least two minutes after being washed to kill any bacteria which may be present.
Note: Do not mix bleach with soaps or detergents.
– do not drink from any public drinking fountains supplied with water from the public water supply;
– ensure that younger children and infants are sponge bathed;
– use an alternative water source known to be safe, if they do not wish to boil the water;
– consult with your physician if you have cuts or rashes that are severe before using the water.

Under most circumstances, there is no need to boil water used for other household purposes. Adults, adolescents and older children may shower, bathe or wash using tap water but should avoid swallowing the water. Laundry may be washed in tap water, either by hand or by machine.

Council Highlights – June 29, 2026 Regular Meeting

On Monday, June 29, 2026, Town Council had their Regular Meeting.

7.1: Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Marty Baroni gave the May 2026 Financial Report.

7.2: Council approved a Discretionary Use Application (26-05) for Discretionary Use at the residence of 214 5th Avenue West on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of the Zoning Bylaw 02-22. The Applicant must obtain a Business License from the Town prior to operation, and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined are not met with this proposed Home-Based Business, the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.

7.3: The Council of the Town of Kindersley approved a Discretionary Use Application (26-06) for Discretionary Use at the residence of 68 Prairie Winds Estates on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of the Zoning Bylaw 02-22. The Applicant must obtain a Business License from the Town prior to operation, and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined are not met with this proposed Home-Based Business, the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.

8.1: Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $270,259.06.

9.1: Town Council resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which included the following items for acceptance and filing:

Notice of Upcoming Paving Work in Kindersley

UPDATE:

Phillips Court will be CLOSED to the public and will be paved tomorrow (July 9, 2026) pending weather.
Residents on Phillips Court are to put their recycle bins out as they normally would. Recycle pickup will occur in the morning before paving.
Preparation for paving will begin on Main Street tomorrow (July 9, 2026) pending weather.

ORIGINAL POST:

Contracted paving crews will mobilize in Kindersley starting Monday, July 6th. Work will begin with prep work and milling on Main Street, followed shortly by paving.

Affected residents and businesses will receive direct notices outlining the specific dates and times of road closures. Because this project involves applying only the final lift of asphalt to the new road, the work is expected to be completed within a few days weather depending.
