Public Drinking Water Advisory is now in Effect for 217, 215, 213, 211, 207, 203, 201 10th Ave West and 223, 215 11th Ave West.
Red Notices have been distributed to all affected properties.
When water testing is complete and all results have come back negative the town will distribute a green notice to all affected properties letting them know the advisory is over.
During a Public Drinking Water Advisory:
  • Boil all water, used for drinking purposes, for at least one (1) minute, at a rolling boil, prior to use;
  • Boil water to be used for other activities where it may be ingested, including: brushing teeth or soaking false teeth; washing fruits and vegetables; food or drink which will not be subsequently heated; and ice cubes;
  • Do not use the water for washing dishes, unless the water has been boiled or the dishes are sanitized in another fashion. Washed dishes and utensils can be soaked in a bleach water solution (approximately 2 tablespoons of bleach per gallon or 10 ml of bleach per liter of water) for at least two minutes after being washed to kill any bacteria which may be present. Note: Do not mix bleach with soaps or detergents.
  • Do not drink from any public drinking fountains supplied with water from the public water supply;
  • Ensure that younger children and infants are sponge bathed;
  • Use an alternative water source known to be safe, if they do not wish to boil the water;
  • Consult with your physician if you have cuts or rashes that are severe before using the water.
  • Under most circumstances, there is no need to boil water used for other household purposes. Adults, adolescents and older children may shower, bathe or wash using tap water but should avoid swallowing the water. Laundry may be washed in tap water, either by hand or by machine.

Please be advised that Public Works crews are currently conducting scheduled critical infrastructure repairs on the 200 Block of 10th Avenue West. This work involves the repair of a failing water main valve and the full replacement a fire hydrant located in front of 207
To facilitate these repairs safely, localized water service disruptions are required as follows:
– Monday, June 22 (Today ): Initial water shut off at 7pm to address the valve repair and isolate the line. Water will be shut off for approximately 2-3 hours
– Tuesday, June 23 (Tomorrow): A second temporary shut-off of approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete the physical extraction and replacement of the hydrant. This shut off will only effect residential houses on the 200 block of 10th Ave West, and the 215 11thAve West

223, 215, 127, 123 11th Ave West
217,215,213,211,207,203,201 10th Ave West
Precautionary Boil Water Advisory (PDWA):
Due to the depressurization of the water main during these operations, a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory will be issued for the impacted residents immediately following the restoration of service tomorrow, June 23rd.
